Declaration of Disaster Emergency & Inclement Weather Updates

Dear Collingdale Residents,

In response to inclement weather forecasts, Mayor Matteo-Spadea has declared a State of Emergency to commence at 1pm today, Sunday, February 22, 2026. Borough Administrative Offices will be closed on Monday, February 23, 2026. Only essential staff (Public Works, Parks & Properties and the Collingdale Police) will be reporting for work on Monday.

To better assist our Public Works Department with their snow remediation efforts, I am asking all visitors and residents of Collingdale to please remove their parked cars from our Emergency Snow Routes by 5pm this evening. Vehicles parked along Emergency Snow Routes after 5pm will risk being boxed in by our plows. Emergency Snow Routes in Collingdale are as follows:

1.) MacDade Boulevard

2.) Clifton Avenue

3.) Springfield Road

Be advised that Monday’s trash will be rescheduled for pickup on Tuesday. Tuesday’s trash has been rescheduled for pickup on Wednesday. All recycling will be cancelled for this week.

Please see a copy of the Mayor’s Declaration of Disaster Emergency below and thank you for your cooperation as we manage this weather emergency.

Your Borough Manager,

Joseph G. Papaleo
